Norengros AS privacy statement

The collection, storage, compilation, disclosure and other processing of personal data is regulated in the Personal Data Act.

The law stipulates, among other things, strict requirements for confidentiality and security when processing personal data. The Norwegian Data Protection Authority oversees the law.

"Personal information" is information and assessments that can be linked to a natural person, e.g. name, residential address, email address or what type of customer relationship you have with us.

The general manager is responsible for the company's processing of personal data.

In the law, "controller" means the person who determines the purpose of the processing of personal data and which aids are to be used.

It is the data controller who is responsible for the processing of personal data taking place in accordance with the law.

 

What personal data does Norengros AS store?

We collect personal data that you voluntarily give us when you register as a customer directly or via our website, as well as any personal data in connection with our processing of your orders.

Such information is: Title, first and last name, company name, company number, (if applicable) national identification number if you are a private customer, e-mail address, shipping and invoice address, telephone and fax number, products ordered and quantity, order value, order number, date ordered, status of order processing, time of delivery, payment information, credit information and offers.

We may also collect usage data relating to the use of online shopping. Examples of this are username and password, what you have bought, products you have looked at etc

How we use your personal data

Transaction data will be used to effect orders, handle payments, communications relating to your orders, to handle returns and recalls of products.

If you have given your consent, they are also used to provide you with newsletters and tailored marketing communications (product information, campaigns, offers, etc.).

Norengros AS has third-party service providers in relation to operation and support of IT and Web-based services, accounting, shipping and payment services.

We enter into written agreements with third parties with whom we share information and set clear requirements to comply with applicable privacy legislation, including the requirements for information security.

 

To the extent required by law or legal decision or necessary for the investigation of possible offenses against our business, relevant information may be disclosed to public authorities or any other authorized parties.

We work planned and systematically to safeguard information security and use both technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access and use.

 

Can I limit or update the use of personal data about me?

If you move to another function with your employer or change employers, you can ask to be deleted as a contact person. In some cases, we can then request verification from the employer.

Personal data that is necessary to complete concluded agreements or that is required by law to be kept by the authorities for a certain period of time cannot be restricted.

 

How long is the personal data kept?

We only keep the personal data for as long as is necessary based on the purposes described in the paragraphs above or to fulfill specific legal requirements. This means that the storage time for different types of information may vary. The Accounting Act means that invoice information must be stored for at least 5 years.
